"Snow" in Taiwan (and a Peek at What I’m Writing Next)

Hi, Everyone!

How was your holiday season? Mine was great. Shortly before Christmas, my husband and I visited some friends who live in a nearby city that decorates like crazy for Christmas. We had a lot of fun walking around and looking at all the lights and decor. It even "snowed" on us at one point (hey, it was no more fake than the "snow" in Disneyland in California!). That's where the picture of the beautiful lanterns above is from—click on it if you'd like to see my whole album, including a brief video of the show that culminated in the snowfall, from our evening in Banqiao Christmas Village.

Meanwhile, please reply and tell me what your holidays were like and where in the world you celebrated, if you did. I'd love to hear!

What About My Writing?

I've been brainstorming a new fantasy series! It will probably be set in the same world as my as-yet-unpublished Wolves of Cedar Crossing fantasy books that I've been talking about for a while (and that, sadly, are retreating to the back burner for now). The new series will take place several generations before the events in the other series, so it seems logical to publish it sooner. I'll tell you more about it when I get more of my ideas firmed up. Meanwhile, I've been having fun brainstorming events for the entire series (it will be longer than any series I've ever written before!) and starting to develop my characters. I can't wait to introduce them to you after they become just a little more real!

We'll return home to Taiwan near the end of July. So far, we've been struck by the high...
